Normal Business Hours: The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Hours may be extended, reduced, or otherwise adjusted during emergency operations.
Purpose
The Will County Emergency Management Agency (WCEMA) exists to coordinate the County’s comprehensive emergency management program in order to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from all-hazard events. The Agency carries out this mission through its full-time professional staff, trained volunteer divisions, emergency communications and radio system personnel, and coordinated partnerships with local, State, Federal, and private sector agencies. WCEMA is committed to operating with transparency, accountability, and in compliance with applicable laws, including the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.

Fees
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act the Will County Emergency Management Agency will charge the following fees:
If a specific fee is set by statute the statutory fee will be charged.
Black and White copies (legal or letter size): No fee for first 50 pages, $0.15 for each additional printed page.
Color Copies:

Electronic Records: Records maintained in electronic format will be provided electronically when feasible.

There is no charge for electronic records sent via email.

If records are provided on physical media (e.g., USB flash drive or other portable storage device), the requester will be charged the actual cost of the recording medium.

Due to the sensitive nature of the information handled by this office, all requests under the Freedom of Information Act must be reviewed by the designated Freedom of Information Officers. No documents will be available until that review is completed within the time period allotted under the Freedom of Information Act.
