Disaster Assistance Available

U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster assistance has been made available for several disasters that affected Will County or a surrounding county. Homeowners, renters, businesses, and some nonprofit groups may be able to apply for low-interest loans to help pay for damage not covered by insurance.​

You must be located in a declared disaster area and meet other eligibility criteria depending on the type of loan.

What Types of Disaster Loans are Available?

• Physical damage loans

  • Loans to cover repairs and replacement of physical assets damaged in a declared disaster.

• Mitigation Assistance

  • Expanded funding to make improvements to eliminate future damage.

• Economic Injury Disaster Loans

  • Funding to cover small business operating expenses after a declared disaster.
